Job summary

Ashford Hospital is seeking casual Administration Officers to join the fast-paced Emergency Department. If you are organised with high attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset, we want to hear from you.

You will answer calls on a switchboard, prepare admission paperwork, maintain medical records, perform health fund checks, liaise with staff, and undertake other clerical tasks as required. We offer salary packaging, flexible rosters by negotiation, and a supportive team within the ACHA

Qualifications

• Flexibility to undertake shift work on a rotating roster.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team with a 'can do' attitude.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service in an empathetic manner.
• Proven reliability.

Responsibilities

• Answer and re-direct calls on a switchboard whilst maintaining a positive and professional manner.
• Prepare admission paperwork
• Maintain accurate and effective record management including preparation of medical records
• Conduct health fund checks and third-party approvals
• Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff
• Complete other clerical tasks as required
