Job summary

Mayfield Early Education Gordonvale is seeking a Casual Educator to join our caring team. You will supervise children, support curriculum delivery, and engage with families to track progress in a nurturing environment.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in ECEC or ACECQA-approved equivalent, a Blue Card, and a willingness to obtain required training. This role supports inclusive, child-centred learning and community engagement.

The Opportunity

Our Gordonvale Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Casual Educator to join our incredible team!

As an integral part of the Mayfield team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
• Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
• Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
• Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
• Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
• Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

You

• Working towards or hold a minimum of a Certificate III in ECEC (of ACECQA approved equivalent);
• Valid Blue Card
• Child protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain);
• Working knowledge & understanding of Child Safe Standards
• Working knowledge & understanding of NQF & EYLF.
• Passion for the Early Childhood sector - you will enjoy communicating with and building trusted relationships with children, their families, your teammatesand the wider community.
