Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) seeks casual Early Childhood Educators to support preschool learning in ACT Early Learning Centres. You will nurture, supervise and engage children in safe, inclusive settings while collaborating with families and staff.

Casual Relief System (CRS) scheduling applies; applicants must have WWVP, First Aid, and suitable Early Childhood qualifications. Opportunities to grow within a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Diploma in Early Childhood and Care; OR Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

Remuneration Range:$38.89 to $41.36 per hour, exclusive of casual loading (dependent on qualification, age and experience)

Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG), provides education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and nine Early Learning Centres in the ACT.

About the role

Early Childhood Educators nurture the growth and development of preschool children in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. Early Childhood Educators assist in engaging play-based learning experiences that support each child’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development in line with theregulatory framework. The ELC Educator's role involves fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and collaboration. ELC Educators also maintain a focus on well-being and safety, adhering to CECG and regulatory standards. This is a rewarding role that has the opportunity to impact the lives of children while growing professionally in a supportive team environment.

Casual employees who have been approved to work, nominate preferred work locations and provide their availability through our Casual Relief System (CRS) and may be called upon, on an as-needed basis in accordance with operational needs and employee availability and preference.

Other Eligibility Criteria

• You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
• Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
