About the role

We are seeking 3 x Casual Drivers to join our team in Southport, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexible working arrangements to suit your availability. As a Casual Driver, you will play a vital role in our community transport operations, providing safe and professional transport services to clients requiring aged and disability support. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the independence and quality of life of the people we serve, ensuring they can access vital appointments, social activities and community services with confidence and dignity.

Key responsibilities

Operating vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all relevant traffic laws and safety regulations

Providing courteous, professional and respectful service to all passengers, particularly those with aged and disability support needs

Assisting passengers with boarding and alighting from vehicles where required, demonstrating patience and compassion

Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and conducting routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and reliability

Following designated routes and timetables whilst responding flexibly to individual client needs

Communicating effectively with passengers, ensuring clear information about journey details and any changes

Adhering to health, safety and wellbeing protocols specific to transporting vulnerable clients

Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to management

Maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of all clients at all times

Maintain Company Policies

What we're looking for

A current, valid driving licence with a clean driving record appropriate to the role

Professional experience in driving or transport, particularly in community or aged and disability services (preferred)

Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, respectful care to vulnerable and elderly clients

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups

Physical capability to assist passengers where required, including mobility support

Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting scheduled transport obligations

Knowledge of local roads and geography in the Gold Coast area (preferred)

Ability to remain calm and composed in various situations, prioritising passenger safety and comfort

A commitment to confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries

Current Police Check or ability to obtain

Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or ability to obtain

Knowledge of Orcoda driving app preferred or ability to quickly learn

Medium level Tech capability

Ability to work in a Team
