Job summary

TransitCare is seeking a dedicated Casual Driver to keep our community transport services running smoothly in Brisbane and surrounding areas. You will be the face of our not-for-profit organisation, delivering safe and reliable transport to those who need it most.

Join a team committed to inclusion and quality, with full training and ongoing support. This role offers flexible hours between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm, seven days a week, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Caring and dependable individual with a customer-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas.
• Ability to complete basic written reports accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain fleet vehicles.
• Provide assisted transport for elderly and disabled passengers, including wheelchair support.
• Help clients with shopping bags, mobility aids, and personal items.

The Role

Join our team as a Casual Driver! We have openings for flexible drivers to keep our wheels turning. Our team operates between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm, 7 days a week, including public holidays. Vehicles depart from our Beenleigh and Parkinson depots.

As a TransitCare driver, you’ll be the face of our organisation, delivering essential community transport services that make a real difference.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate and maintain fleet vehicles
• Provide assisted transport for elderly and disabled passengers, including wheelchair support
• Help clients with shopping bags, mobility aids, and personal items
• Use computerised trip and GPS systems accurately

What You Bring

• A caring attitude and commitment to customer service
• Open driver’s licence and good knowledge of Brisbane and surrounds
• Ability to complete basic written reports accurately
• Clear criminal history and eligibility for an Industry Authority, Blue Card, and Yellow Card
• Physical fitness, ability to lift 15kg, and complete annual CPR training
