Job summary

IFYS Limited. is seeking a Disability Support Worker in Rockhampton to provide daily support in Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings. This casual role offers potential to move to part-time and an immediate start, subject to licensing.

Maybo training, onboarding, and mentorship support help you grow in the role, with shifts across day, afternoon, night, weekends, and sleepovers across Rockhampton. You will work with individuals to build independence, plan activities, and develop life

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with disability or interest with relevant study or in progress
• Or a genuine interest in entering the field with study in progress
• Desirable: Cert IV in Mental Health or Mental Health First Aid

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and maintaining household cleanliness
• Plan and attend activities or appointments
• Support skill development for independent living, recreation, learning and community access
• Use routines to provide hands-on training of life skills such as cooking, personal care and budgeting
• Support and manage behaviours using Positive Behaviour Support Plans
• Complete daily case notes, admin tasks and incident reports
