Job summary

Endeavour Foundation in the Gympie region is hiring a casual Disability Support Worker to join our SIL homes, offering a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports. You will need open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts.

Within our SIL homes, you will assist people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, supporting daily living tasks, personal care, meal planning and community outings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs in daily living.
• Availability for sleepover and variable shifts.
• Willingness to obtain required checks (Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, National Criminal History Check).

Responsibilities

• Help people achieve NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assist with personal care where required to meet individual needs.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and community outings.
• Provide support during daily activities such as walks, outings, or appointments.
• Maintain connections with family, friends and services.
