Job summary

Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) in Penrith, NSW seeks a Female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care to clients living in SDA apartments within the NDIS. This casual role focuses on daily living support, personal care, and community engagement, with a commitment to person-centred care.

You will work with clients to achieve independence goals, adhere to care plans, document progress, and collaborate with the team across shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability or related qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in disability or healthcare services.
• Strong communication, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support in line with individual support plans
• Assist participants with daily living activities in meal preparation and feeding
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, etc
• Accompanying and supporting clients in community-based activities, such as social outings, appointments, and recreational pursuits
• Ensure all required documentation (including daily notes, communication and progress reports) is thorough and up to date
• Experience with behaviours of concern
• Adhere to all organisational policies, including medication administration, WHS, client rights, privacy, and confidentiality
• Work within a team environment.
