Job summary

St Anthony’s Family Care in Croydon, NSW is seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to assist young adults (9–30) with diverse needs through day programs, weekend shifts and respite care. The role covers personal care, meal prep, community activities and behaviour support across settings.

Applicants should have disability support experience,CPR/First Aid, valid checks (NDIS/WWC), and a current Australian driver’s licence. Salary packaging options and staff development are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with people with disabilities, behavioural challenges and complex needs.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate and willingness to obtain ongoing training.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check/Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' Certificate.
• A current Australian driver’s licence and appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support routines/care plans with a hands-on, flexible approach.
• Implement daily activities aligned to participant goals.
• Address concerns and manage behaviours to promote positive outcomes.
• Provide personal care, medication administration, meal prep and domestic tasks.
• Encourage skill development across centre and community activities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and safety protocols.
• Promote safety and risk management; support participants with diverse needs.
