Job summary

Orange City Council is seeking casual Disability Services Support Workers to assist people with disabilities in a residential setting under NDIS standards. You will implement individual support plans, mentor clients, and support daily living activities, including personal care and medication management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting people with disability.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Empathy and a caring nature.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and skill development for clients in daily living and hobbies.
• Assist with independent living skills, personal care, and household tasks.
• Administer medication and follow individual support plans.
• Complete clear documentation in CTARS and via email.
• Support personal care like toileting and meals per plans.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to help clients achieve goals.
• Encourage community participation and access to services.
• Participate in orientation and training opportunities.
