Job summary

Best Life Individual Support Services is seeking a compassionate Casual Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals living with disability, helping them achieve goals, maintain independence, and participate in their community.

You will build meaningful relationships, support daily living needs, community engagement, and overall wellbeing, while upholding NDIS standards and participant goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support or related community care roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with clients.
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client transport.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification (renewed within last 12 months).
• Willingness to obtain Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients using a personal vehicle.
• Assist with daily living activities and community access.
• Provide emotional support to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with care team to implement tailored support plans.
• Maintain accurate records in line with policies.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Support clients to live their best life and achieve goals.
