Responsabilités

• Provide person-centred support based on each participant’s needs and plans.
• Support community access, daily routines, meals and household tasks.
• Assist with personal care where required and promote independence.
• Support transport and accompany participants as needed.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Complete shift notes and promptly report incidents or concerns.

We are seeking reliable, compassionate Casual Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants across Townsville. Help people build independence, take part in their community and work towards their individual goals.

About the role

You will provide person-centred support based on each participant’s needs, preferences and support plan. Duties may include:

• Community access, social activities and appointments
• Assistance with daily routines, meal preparation and household tasks
• Personal care, where required
• Supporting choice, independence and skill development
• Transport during supports, where required
• Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
• Completing accurate shift notes and reporting incidents or concerns promptly

About you

You are patient, respectful and dependable, with clear communication skills and professional boundaries. You work well independently, follow instructions and recognise the importance of consistent support. Relevant disability support experience or a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a related field will be highly regarded.

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance before commencing work
• Blue Card, where required for the role
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
• Current driver licence and access to a reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle for duties involving transport
• Australian working rights
• Ability to complete required induction and role-specific training
