Job summary

Sutherland Support Services in Geelong, VIC, is seeking an Experienced Disability Support Worker for a casual, on-site role. You will provide direct personal care, assist with daily living tasks and help participants engage in community activities in a respectful, person-centred manner.

Ideal applicants have prior disability support experience, knowledge of the NDIS framework, strong communication, and a commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality. WWCC and First Aid/CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support or a similar role.
• Knowledge of NDIS framework and person-centred care.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse participants.
• Physical capacity to assist with personal care and mobility.
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and duty of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, shopping and mobility as required.
• Support participation in community activities and social engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support provided and progress.
• Communicate with participants, families and other providers to coordinate support.
• Adhere to policies, duty of care, safeguarding standards and team collaboration.
