Job summary

Toby’s Estate Pty is seeking a casual Cafe Cook for our Fitzroy location, a role ideal for food lovers who enjoy a lively coffeehouse environment. You’ll oversee kitchen operations, from prep and cooking to plating, while upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with management to shape the culinary experience, manage stock, and support a busy team across our Australia and New Zealand UCC business. Weekend availability is required.

About Us:

Toby started roasting in his Mum’s garage in Woolloomooloo nearly 30 years ago, and there’s been a change or two along the way. These days, Toby has left the building, but we've welcomed three new cafes to the fold – Newstead in Brisbane, Fitzroy in Melbourne and an outpost in Singapore, and our Chippendale Flagship cafe won best coffee shop in the world in 2025 (and top 5 in 2026). We’re exploding on the international scene too, not to mention licensees and roasteries in nine countries, and counting. But the DNA hasn’t changed – we are leaders in specialty coffee for a reason.

We are seeking an experienced Cook for our Fitzroy location on a casual basis, who has a passion for food and a proven track record in a similar role. You’ll thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment, taking pride in preparing high-quality food while contributing to the kitchen's energy. With your previous cooking experience, you will help to lead the kitchen space, ensuring consistency and quality, while collaborating closely with management to shape the culinary experience at Toby's.
