Descrizione del lavoro

About Us:

Toby started roasting in his Mum’s garage in Woolloomooloo nearly 30 years ago, and there’s been a change or two along the way. These days, Toby has left the building, but we've welcomed three new cafes to the fold – Newstead in Brisbane, Fitzroy in Melbourne and an outpost in Singapore, and our Chippendale Flagship cafe won best coffee shop in the world in 2025 (and top 5 in 2026). We’re exploding on the international scene too, not to mention licensees and roasteries in nine countries, and counting. But the DNA hasn’t changed – we are leaders in specialty coffee for a reason.

Why join us as our Casual Cafe Cook?

We’re looking for a genuine foodie in the café scene - a café cook that will oversee kitchen operations, from prepping and cooking to managing inventory and ensuring food safety. Collaboration is a part of the game! If you’re passionate about the culinary space and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Cook for our Fitzroy location on a casual basis, who has a passion for food and a proven track record in a similar role. You’ll thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment, taking pride in preparing high-quality food while contributing to the kitchen's energy. With your previous cooking experience, you will help to lead the kitchen space, ensuring consistency and quality, while collaborating closely with management to shape the culinary experience at Toby's.

What's on offer:

Joining our business means immersing yourself in the world of coffee and leveraging exciting learning opportunities across our Australia and New Zealand UCC business. If you’re looking for flexible work, a supportive team, and the chance to be part of a growing coffee business, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a casual role, estimated to be working 5 days, 38 hours per week at our Fitzroy cafe. Candidates must be available to work both weekend days.
