Oaks Nelson Bay Lure Suites is expanding its housekeeping department with multiple casual opportunities now available. We’re seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include thorough room cleaning, bed making, and bathroom sanitation, with shifts starting 8:00am–9:00am on a rotating schedule. Flexible weekend availability is required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional communication with guests and team members.

• Maintain high cleaning standards in guest rooms including making beds, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within allocated hours.

Job Description

Oaks Nelson Bay Lure Suites is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
