Job summary

Minor Hotels, Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort, is expanding its housekeeping department with casual positions. We are seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience and thrive in a team environment.

You will maintain high cleanliness standards in guest rooms, assist with daily tasks, and work across rotating shifts starting mid-morning. Training and flexible hours, including weekends, are provided within the Minor Hotels group.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is valued.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks.
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resortis excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. If you’re energetic, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to have you on board!

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, andcleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details(subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.38 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
