Job summary

Minor Hotels’ Oaks The Entrance Waterfront Suites on the NSW Central Coast is expanding its housekeeping team with multiple casual opportunities.

You will maintain guest rooms to high standards, assist with cleaning tasks, and work with a friendly team to meet daily targets. Flexible hours including weekends and public holidays are required; shifts start around 8–9 am.

Hourly rates range from $33.85 to $47.39, with additional benefits and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks.
• Clear communication with guests and team members.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively — with all training and tools provided.
• Build strong, professional relationships with team members, guests and contractors to foster a positive work environment.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, andcleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details(subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour

Saturday: $40.62 per hour

Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
