Job summary

Club Macquarie is seeking an experienced Casual Chef to join our busy catering team at Argenton, near Lake Macquarie. You will assist in the preparation and service of Club Bistro style food, including daily Chef Specials that are appealing and high-quality.

The ideal candidate has previous kitchen experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to food safety, WHS and hygiene practices. Flexibility to work across 7 days and nights as required will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen, ideally in a Club or Hotel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Club Macquarie Function and Accommodation Centre is located at the top of Lake Macquarie in the suburb of Argenton. Club Macquarie has approximately 8500 members, 94 gaming machines, Bistro 458, Function and Conference facilities, a 36 room Motel, Macquarie 4 Star and employs approximately 65 staff both full time and Casual. Club Macquarie prides itself on excellence in both service and product we provide to our valued Members and Guests.

Club Macquarie is seeking to appoint an experienced Casual Chef as part of our busy catering team Providing great food and customer service for our Members and Guests. In your role you will be assisting in the preparation and service of Club Bistro style food along with daily Chef Specials that are appealing and of high-quality.

The following attributes and experience would be considered advantageous:

Previous experience in a similar kitchen, ideally in a Club or Hotel.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge and commitment to implementing and maintaining, food safety, WHS and hygiene practices

Flexibility to work across 7 days and nights as required
