Job summary

Cater Care in Parkville is seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants for casual shifts. You will assist with food preparation, meal service and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in a friendly kitchen environment.

This role offers flexible days and hours, base pay of 27.08 AUD per hour plus casual loading and applicable penalty rates, with uniform provided and access to staff benefits across our national catering network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, catering, hospitality or customer service.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented with a valid WWCC or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal delivery.
• Provide friendly and professional service when serving meals and snacks.
• Replenish food, supplies and service areas as required.
• Undertake dishwashing and maintain clean kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal delivery
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when serving meals and snacks to clients
• Replenish food, supplies and service areas as required
• Undertake dishwashing and maintain clean, organised kitchen and dining areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements

About You

• Previous experience in food preparation, catering, hospitality or customer service
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently
• Excellent reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport
• A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check
