Job summary

Cater Care Lake Cathie Manor is hiring a Catering Assistant to support food preparation, meal service to residents, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. You will contribute to a caring, resident-focused dining experience in a brand-new facility with strong training support.

The role is casual, requires good communication and teamwork, and prefers candidates with kitchen or customer service experience and an empathetic approach to aged care.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation or customer service.
• Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication and a positive team attitude.
• Respectful and caring approach to working in aged care.
• Previous experience in medical/hospital settings is a plus.

Job Description

Location: Lake Cathie, NSW
Roster: Casual | Various days and hours available
Pay: $27.08 base rate + casual loading + penalty rates (as applicable)

What This Role Involves:

• Assisting with food preparation
• Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
• Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
• Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
• A respectful and caring approach to working in aged care
• Previous experience in medical/hospital sector would be well regarded
