Job summary

Corporate Technology Services (CTS) is seeking Casual Audio Visual Technicians to join our Event Production team in Australia. Junior to senior technicians will support live and hybrid events with AV/IT solutions, including audio, video and lighting preparation.

You will assist setup, operation and pack-down, liaise with clients, and help with webcast and streaming as needed. Flexible hours, evenings and weekends apply.

Qualifications

• Tertiary/TAFE qualification with experience operating Audio, Vision and Lighting equipment.
• Proven experience with professional audio equipment in live events or broadcasts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with stakeholders.
• Good time management and attention to detail; problem solving oriented.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

We have multiple opportunities for Casual Audio Visual Technicians to join our Event Production team. We are seeking Junior to Senior technicians with a range of skillsets in live audio, video, and event production to support our growing workload across corporate events.

We are in the business of helping and giving a great experience for our clients. You will play a key role in assisting this with the preparation of Audio, Vision and Lighting on a variety of physical, virtual and hybrid corporate events, and provide solutions for AV/IT issues.

In the capacity as Casual AV Technician supporting our Support and Event Production teams, you will be mainly working on:

• Assisting with the setup, operation and pack-down of AV systems for corporate events, conferences and broadcasts
• Operating digital audio consoles, wireless microphone systems and event playback systems;
• Liaising with clients to ensure their needs are met for ICT and AV requests;
• Basic computer wireless network set up and troubleshooting;
• Operation of audio, vision and lighting equipment during live events;
• Maintenance and management of internal AV assets and equipment;
• Supporting webcast, streaming and hybrid event productions as required;
• Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for casual event roles.

Your Background:

To be considered for this position you will have the following:

• Tertiary/TAFE qualified with notable experience in operating Audio, Vision, and Lighting equipment.
• Demonstrated experience operating professional audio equipment within live events, corporate productions or broadcast environments;
• Strong customer service & communication skills- demonstrated ability to collaborate and build trust with a varied range of key stakeholders
• Well-developed time management skills with good availability for shifts and a focus on attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering results-focused solutions;
• Purposeful and dedicated in implementing results-focused solutions.
• While not essential for all applicants, the following skills are highly desirable and suited to more senior technicians
• Advanced troubleshooting of AV signal flow and system faults
• Experience operating vision switching, streaming or broadcast platforms
• Leadership or mentoring experience on live event sites
• Confident client-facing experience in high-pressure environments
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of event delivery
• Knowledge of Dante, AV networking and digital audio transport technologies, as well as experience supporting webcast, streaming or broadcast productions, will be highly desirable
