Job summary

Microhire is the leading Australian Event Staging specialist, delivering cutting-edge technical services for conferences, galas, and seminars.

As an Audio Visual technician you will install and operate a wide range of AV, IT and lighting technologies on high-profile events, requiring at least 3 years in conferencing or corporate productions and strong organisational and communication skills to lead teams on-site. You must have work rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in conferencing, galas or corporate events.
• Experience installing and operating a wide range of AV, IT and lighting technologies.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to lead teams on-site.
• EWP (Yellow card or HRWL) highly favourable.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting clients on-site.
• Ensure on-site delivery meets clients’ objectives as presented in the proposal.
• Acting in a professional manner at all times.
• Work hours may vary day and night; be prepared to lift AV equipment.

As a Audio Visual technician, you will be providing cutting edge technical services for conferences, seminars, gala dinners plus more. To be successful in this role you'll need to be capable of installing and operating a wide range of audio, vision, event staging, IT and lighting technologies on high profile events.

About the role

The ideal candidate is an experienced technician, capable of installing and operating a wide range of audio, vision, IT and lighting technologies. You would ideally have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in conferencing, gala dinners, and similar corporate events/ productions, with demonstrable highly developed organisational and communication skills that allow you to lead teams, while working with all venue staff in a courteous and professional manner.

Meeting and greeting of all Microhire clients on-site.

Ensure that on-site delivery meets clients’ objectives as presented in our proposal.

Acting in a professional manner at all times.

Skills and experience required:

Experience in Audio, vision, lighting and live events.

A solid understanding of the conferencing and events industry

A passion for technology

Direct experience operating events

Abilities and knowledge operating Allen & Heath, Soundcraft and Yamaha audio consoles.

Abilities and knowledge operating Roland, Analog Way and Barco vision switchers.

Abilities and knowledge of GrandMA lighting consoles, networking Artnet and SACN

Driven to provide outstanding customer service

Superior personal presentation

Desire to expand skillset

EWP (Yellow card or HRWL) highly favourable
