Job summary

Mark & Sylvie’s Home Care, part of the Atticus Health family, is seeking a Casual Home Care Worker to support elderly clients in Bargara and surrounding areas. You will work closely with our medical team to help clients live independently at home with dignity.

This role offers meaningful community-based work, flexible shifts, and a chance to build trusting relationships while delivering compassionate in-home care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Aged Care/Home & Community Care).
• Minimum six months’ experience in home care, aged care, or community support.
• Current National Police Check.
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle and third‑party insurance.
• CPR and First Aid certificates obtained within the last six months.
• Genuine passion for helping elderly people live independently at home.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in understanding clients’ medical needs and working with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, practical support to elderly clients in their homes.
• Assist clients with daily living activities and other home care duties.
• Build meaningful and respectful relationships with clients and their families.
• Support clients to maintain independence and quality of life at home.
• Observe changes in health, wellbeing, or safety of clients.
• Communicate concerns or observations to the clinical team.
• Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for continuity of care.
• Deliver care in a professional, client-focused manner.
