Job summary

The Reef Hotel Casino Cairns is seeking a Casino Technician to join our Technical Team. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on electronic gaming equipment on the gaming floor and install/configure gaming gear as required.

Applicants should have hands-on technical repair experience, with advantageous knowledge in CCTV/security systems and computer networks. The role requires weekend work and a Queensland license/clearances as applicable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a technical repair/install environment.
• Knowledge of CCTV or security systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of computer networks is advantageous.
• Experience in electronic gaming machine repairs is advantageous.
• Flexibility with shift work and weekends.
• RSG/RSA certifications are beneficial.

Job description

We are seeking a Casino Technician to join our team at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a trustworthy, logical-thinker, and problem-solving individual to work in our Technical Team and provide preventative maintenance on our gaming floor.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance on electronic gaming equipment (fault finding and preventative maintenance).

Install and configure electronic gaming equipment.

Install, repair, and maintain all types of gaming equipment.

Ability to prioritise repairs and maintenance works.

Good public relations and communication skills.

Criteria

Previous hands-on experience in a technical repair/install environment.

Knowledge of CCTV / security systems advantageous.

Knowledge of computer networks advantageous.

Experience in electronic gaming machine repairs advantageous.

Flexibility with shift work arrangements and the ability to work weekends.

All Electronic Gaming employees are required to possess a current Queensland Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Attainment Certificate.

License Requirement

Thisposition requires a Casino Employee Licence. If you are not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia and over the age of 18 years, your application will not be considered for this role.

Appointment is contingent upon final license approval and individual security (probity) clearances from the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.
