About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking a skilled Case Worker to join the Leongatha team in a 12-month parental leave fixed-term contract. Reporting to the local Team Manager, our Case Workers provide superior support to carers via telephone consultations, scheduled meetings and occasional unannounced visits.

  • Facilitate, support and encourage appropriate contact with biological families
  • Ensure child safety and wellbeing remain the highest priority by managing detailed safety planning and reporting, with adherence to child safe standards and legislation
About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will understand how to collaborate with carers, children and young people in a culturally responsive, trauma informed and family centred manner.

Additionally, we would love to see:

  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding frameworks and statewide government initiatives
  • Genuine interest in facilitating support groups, social events and training
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining time management and attention to detail
