Job summary

Wesley Mission in Grafton is seeking passionate Case Managers to join our Out of Home Care team. We offer permanent part-time (30 hours) or full-time (38 hours, fixed term 6 months) roles, working with children, birth parents and foster carers to provide essential case management services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s qualification(s) in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related fields.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Ability to write reports to a professional standard.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mediation under pressure to resolve differences using a strengths-based approach.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Flexible to work some evenings and weekends, if required.
• Experience in Out of Home Care.
• Knowledge of the Permanency Support Program (PSP).
• Working knowledge of the various legislation’s that govern Out of Home Care in NSW

Seeking passionate and committed Case Managers for the following opportunities:

Permanent Part-Time Case Manager OOHC based in GRAFTON (30 hours per week)

Full-Time Case Manager OOHC (fixed term 6-months) based in GRAFTON (38 hours per week)

About the program

Wesley Dalmar is a large Funded Service Provider in NSW, with multiple locations across the state focusing predominantly on supporting foster carers to care for children and young people. The Northern NSW region is responsible for working within the new Permanency framework to deliver restoration, guardianship, adoption, and permanent foster care services to children and their families. The Grafton Program has a culture focused on personal growth, collegial support, and forging positive relationships.

About the role

Wesley Dalmar is seeking case managers to join an Out of Home Care team based in Grafton. The position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with children, birth parents, foster carers, and support services. We’re seeking highly motivated professionals who are passionate about making a difference through working with children and young people in foster care to provide an essential case management service.

Expect to learn skills in: legal writing, family mediation, communication, child protection, risk assessment, building relationships with children and young people, therapeutic casework, and many others.

The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development + fully maintained vehicle + salary packaging.

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, grade 5, with generous salary packaging available in addition to super and a fully maintained vehicle for business and personal use.
