Job summary

Perisher is seeking two Carpenter positions for year-round, full-time work in an alpine environment (The Station and Perisher). Roles involve varied carpentry, construction, and maintenance to keep resort facilities operating year-round.

The Station role includes an on-call roster during winter to support reactive maintenance and operational needs. Join our Civil and Building Team to work across diverse projects, enjoy staff lift passes for Perisher and other resorts, and access staff

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant Building Trade
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Carpentry/construction experience
• Strong safety and workmanship standards

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation works
• Undertake preventative and reactive maintenance across resort buildings and infrastructure
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Repair and replace building components including doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings
• Complete minor construction and project works
• Source materials and maintain stock levels
• Safely operate tools, plant, equipment, and machinery
• Respond to maintenance requests and rectify defects and hazards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Collaborate with trades, contractors, and resort departments
• Support operational needs including snow clearing and emergency response

Join Perisher's Civil and Building Team as a Carpenter and help maintain, repair, refurbish, and improve the buildings, guest facilities, and infrastructure that keep our resorts operating year-round. Two Carpenter positions are available, one at The Station and one at Perisher. Both roles offer varied carpentry, construction, and maintenance work in a unique alpine environment. The Station position will participate in an on-call roster during winter, supporting reactive maintenance and operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete carpentry, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation works
• Undertake preventative and reactive maintenance across resort buildings and infrastructure
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant Building Trade, or equivalent experience
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Demonstrated carpentry, construction, or building maintenance experience
• Strong practical trade and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work in changing alpine conditions

Desirable Experience

• Remote or alpine work experience
• EWP and/or Working at Heights certification
• Forklift licence
• First Aid certification
• Experience with maintenance management systems
