HR Partners is seeking Trade Qualified Carpenters for ongoing local government projects in the Cairns region. This role involves general construction of modular homes and carpentry works for local residences, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety in a dynamic environment.

The position supports maintenance and development of community infrastructure, offering steady work backed by government contracts and opportunities for overtime. Prior experience in modular constructions is valued.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent Australian recognised qualification.
• Current Queensland Construction White Card and any other relevant trade licenses.
• Must pass a mandatory pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction of modular homes.
• Possibly perform carpentry works for local residential properties, including structural repairs, fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with the NCC and local council building standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times.
