Job summary

Synergie Australia is recruiting a carpenter for our local government client in the Atherton Tablelands (QLD). This temporary contract runs for 3 months with possible extension for the right candidate.

The role involves carpentry on existing and new government buildings, including social housing. You must have Australian work rights, be a permanent resident or citizen, hold a Manual C class license, Cert III Carpentry and a White Card.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working as a carpenter and be physically fit to perform manual roles.
• Hold a Manual C class license.
• Possess minimum Cert III Carpentry.
• Have full working rights in Australia, be a permanent Australian resident and possess your White Card (Construction Card).
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety.
• Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small team to help with general carpentry requirements of existing and new government buildings, including social housing.
• Maintenance work and upgrading of kitchens, bathrooms and repair of damage caused by extreme weather events.
