Job summary

Randstad is seeking experienced Trade Qualified Carpenters to support ongoing local government projects in the Mount Isa region, QLD. You will work on both commercial council buildings and local residential properties, delivering high-quality craftsmanship and contributing to essential community infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent Australian recognised qualification).
• Current Queensland Construction White Card and any other relevant current trade licenses.
• Fitness for Work: Pass a mandatory pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.
• Driver's Licence: Valid Australian manual driver's licence.
• Strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and renovations on local government commercial buildings and facilities.
• Execute carpentry works for local residential properties, including structural repairs, fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) and local council building standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant worksite at all times.
