Job summary

Forma Building Group in Bangalow is seeking a qualified carpenter to lead on-site operations and mentor an apprentice while delivering all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, cladding, decking, doors and windows. You will read plans, set out, plan and sequence work, and coordinate with other trades to keep projects on track, while maintaining safe, clean sites in line with WHS requirements.

• Qualified carpenter (Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified carpenter.
• Full set of your own tools, including power tools.
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
• Current White Card.
• Able to read plans and work independently.

Job description

You'll be the go-to person on site every day, leading on-site operations and guiding an apprentice while carrying out all aspects of carpentry work.

Guiding, training and supervising an apprentice, and making sure they work safely and keep learning

Coordinating with other trades and reporting to the owner on progress, materials and any issues

Carrying out all aspects of carpentry, including framing, fit-off, cladding, decking, doors, windows, renovations and bathroom work

Maintaining safe, clean and compliant sites in line with WHS requirements

Delivering a high-quality finish on every job

About you

Qualified carpenter (Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent)
