Job summary

MWP Community Care in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Northern Sydney region is seeking an Experienced Carpenter/Handyman to perform home maintenance and modification projects in clients’ homes. You will work with Occupational Therapist specifications, follow weekly schedules, and document progress using the CRM while prioritising safety and client comfort.

The role requires a trade certificate in Carpentry, excellent communication, and a caring, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

Trade certificate in Carpentry.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Current C class driver’s license.
Bring own set of tools.
COVID-19 vaccinated (two jabs).
Own vehicle or MWP vehicle can be supplied (Desirable).
Services NSW Contractors License for carpentry and joinery (Desirable).

Responsibilities

Carry out modifications and maintenance work in client’s homes.
Consult with the Building Service Manager for assessment and installation of suggested modifications as per Occupational Therapist specifications.
Follow scheduling for the week ahead as assigned by the Building Services administration team.
Consult with clients in a patient and polite way ensuring they are respected and happy with the work being conducted.
Use the Building Services CRM (Ascora) to record completion of key stages for each project.
Attend staff and other meetings, and training as required.
