Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a qualified carpenter to work across Port Macquarie. Local work with no FIFO or long drives. Responsibilities include framing, external cladding, plasterboard/sheathing, and timber flooring installation across Port Macquarie sites.

Flexible hours: part-time 2–3 days or full-time around 38 hours/week. Fixed-term contracts of 3 or 6 months are also available depending on hours requested.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification is essential.
• White Card is required.
• Own basic tools and reliable transport.
• Ability to work unsupervised and produce neat, finished work.
• 3+ years on the tools preferred; right person with less experience will be considered.
• Additional trade skills such as waterproofing accreditation or other tickets beyond carpentry are highly valued.

Job description

A qualified carpenter role working across a range of jobs in Port Macquarie. All work is local with no travel, FIFO, or long drives. The work is varied and includes framing, external cladding, sheeting, hybrid timber flooring installation, and general maintenance work across Port Macquarie sites. Hours are flexible — you can work two or three days a week around other commitments, or a full-time load of around 38 hours a week. You tell us what days and times suit you and can work at your own pace, as long as the job keeps moving forward. Fixed-term contracts of three or six months are also available depending on the hours you're after.
