Job summary

ARW Homes is seeking a motivated carpenter to join our Mackay team, focusing on site set-out, framing, lock-up, fixing and finishing. You will lead a crew including at least one apprentice and supervise the team to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.

You will develop trades by training apprentices, uphold safe work practices, and work either as a full-time employee or on a sub-contractor basis with appropriate insurances.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry.
• Construction Induction (White) card.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Clean and tidy vehicle.
• Tools of Trade.
• Right to work in Australia – Resident or Citizen apply only.

Responsibilities

At ARW Homes we have been buildinglocally in Mackay and the wider area for over 20 years formerly as Hotondo Homes Mackay. We are continuing to experience solid growth and looking to expand our experienced trades to manage this growth. We don't do renovations or extensions focusing on building beautiful new homes.

We are looking for motivated, proactive, forward-thinking individuals with excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail. We have an enviable pipeline of projects with a variety which will allow for future progression.

About You

You will need to be a team player working towards team goals however, work individually and unsupervised when required to.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, fit and healthy, with a hardworking, can-do attitude.

Will need to be leading your own crew focusing on delivering the project on time while focusing on the quality of the project to customer expectations

Will need to be developing the next generation of trades by training a minimum of one new apprentice in the team as we strive to invest in our people.

Will need to ensure you follow company safe working practices while ensuring your team stay safe

Will be looking to develop your own skills and experience and working towards becoming a leader of the future including a prospective supervisor.

You should be keen and willing to learn new skills as you look to develop your knowledge in construction management,scheduling, contractor management and maintain budgets.
