Job summary

Modus Projects is seeking a skilled carpenter to manage maintenance and construction tasks on client assets across Australia. You will perform a full range of carpentry duties, ensuring high workmanship and compliance with safety standards.

On-site work requires a White Card, a valid driver’s licence, and relevant certifications. The role offers a fully maintained company vehicle, overtime pay, and ongoing training within a growing national business.

Qualifications

• Carpentry trade certification or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid manual driver’s licence is mandatory.
• White Card required for on-site work.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.
• Working at Heights and elevated work platform tickets are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of carpentry for maintenance and construction of client assets.
• Maintain high workmanship standards across tasks on site.
• Assist in servicing assets to protect client assets and community from hazards.
• Engage utilities and service providers for inspections and approvals.
• Resolve on-site issues efficiently to ensure timely task completion.
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to stakeholders.

Job description

Undertake all aspects of the Carpentry trade, including but not limited to; reactive and planned maintenance and construction activities on our client's buildings and open space assets; and assist in reducing operational costs, and mitigating risks associated to ineffective and/or faulty assets.

Key responsibilities

Undertake all aspects of Carpentry regarding maintenance and construction of Modus' client's assets

Undertake all activities to high standard of workmanship

Assist in servicing assets in accordance with relevant standards to protect our client's assets and the community from potential hazards

Utilise external resources as required to ensure services are delivered in a timely manner

Engage all relevant utilities and service providers for the purpose of; inspections and approvals and identification of faults etc

Use initiative to solve problems that arise on site in order to complete tasks as efficiently as possible

Provide efficient and effective customer service

Assess the adequacy of information contained in requests

Complete works with minimum disruption to occupants

Undertake works to agreed service standards

About you

Trade Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent (preferred)

Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)

Construction Induction Card (White Card)

First Aid Certificate (preferred)

Working at Heights Ticket (preferred)

Elevated Work Platform (Under 11m) (preferred)

Exceptional organisational and time management skills
