Job summary

Coast Construction Co is seeking a qualified carpenter for luxury residential projects on the Gold Coast. The role requires minimum 12 months of carpenter experience, a Cert 3 in Carpentry, and the ability to read blueprints and meet tight deadlines.

You will work on renovations and extensions, ensure compliance with building codes, and mentor apprentices while maintaining safety and quality across high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of experience as a carpenter
• Cert 3 in carpentry or equivalent qualification
• Experience in luxury builds, renovations, and extensions preferred
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
• Inspect and repair damaged structures and fixtures
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Provide guidance and support to apprentice carpenters
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Must hold a valid White Card
• Must have a Cert 3 in carpentry
• Previous experience in luxury residential builds, renovations, and extensions preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
