Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is hiring a Casual Carer to provide high-quality care and companionship to residents, helping maintain dignity and comfort in a nurturing environment.

You will assist with daily tasks, support mobility, monitor wellbeing, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care while embracing Anglicare's values and community ethos.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All qualifications recognised under Australian Qualifications Framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance (showering, dressing, grooming, feeding).
• Support residents with mobility and physical needs.

Your opportunity

As a Casual Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What you'll bring

You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

What's required?

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

• A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• An understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

• Flexible availability including morning, afternoons or nights.
