Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Casual Carer to provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship in a caring environment.

This role requires a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, and an NDIS Worker Screening Check. Flexibility for night shifts and weekend work is preferred. Ongoing training and supportive team culture are offered by Anglicare Sydney.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All qualifications recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and daily tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for person-centred care.

Your opportunity

As a Casual Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What's required?

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
