Job summary

RSL LifeCare Limited in Penrith is seeking a Casual Carer to join our Residential Care team. You will support residents with personal care, assist with daily activities, and help promote wellbeing in a compassionate, person-centred environment.

You will work with families, follow care plans, and contribute to a safe and respectful living environment. Australian Working Rights apply and police checks are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compassion, empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ability to use technology efficiently in care tasks.
• Experience or qualification in individual support is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with residents and their families to provide personal care.
• Provide timely and effective care that reflects each resident's needs and care plans.
• Encourage wellbeing and independence by supporting engagement in activities.
• Promote a person-centred approach and respect residents' goals.

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
