Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a permanent part-time Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents on Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons. You will assist with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and help residents live with dignity and purpose in a nurturing environment.

You will work in collaboration with healthcare professionals, document progress, and ensure residents’ needs and preferences are met.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a relevant qualification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance is required.
• Qualifications recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Your opportunity

As a permanent Part time Carer (Monday nights, Wednesday Afternoons) at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What is required?

• Availability to work Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons
• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
