Job summary

St Clare’s High School in Taree is seeking a permanent full‑time Careers Advisor (0.5 FTE) / Classroom Teacher (0.5 FTE) to join the team from January 2027. The successful candidate will combine classroom teaching with delivering careers education, guidance and pathways support for students.

You will work with students, families and staff to provide meaningful careers education, align with NSW curriculum, and uphold Catholic ethos in a supportive, faith‑based community.

Qualifications

• Clear understanding of Catholic Education and support for school ethos.
• Ability to plan and deliver contemporary career education and guidance.
• Knowledge of NSW curriculum and ability to implement career initiatives.
• Experience helping students plan post‑school pathways with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide careers education, guidance and opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external partners to support pathways.
• Combine classroom teaching with careers advisory duties as a 0.5 FTE role.
• Develop and implement strategic career‑learning initiatives within the school.
• Uphold professional standards and contribute to school improvement.
