Job summary

Casula High School invites applications for a Careers teacher in the NSW Department of Education’s Teaching Service. The role focuses on delivering Careers education, guiding students toward meaningful post-school pathways and collaborating with wellbeing and attendance teams.

The successful candidate will engage a diverse student body, including EAL/D learners, and contribute to a culture of safety, high expectations and resilience. A full approval to teach Careers is required.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Careers or currently enrolled in the Careers Advisor qualification approved by the NSW Department of Education.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to guide and support students into meaningful post school pathways.
• Proven ability to work with wellbeing, secondary studies and attendance teams to engage diverse students into transition programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Careers teaching and curriculum aligned to NSW standards.
• Guide students into meaningful post-school pathways and opportunities.
• Collaborate with wellbeing and attendance teams to support student transitions.
• Engage with a diverse student cohort, including EAL/D and refugee backgrounds.
• Contribute to school-wide student wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
