Qualifications

• Genuine commitment to helping young people identify and pursue meaningful education, training and employment pathways.
• Qualification in career development or commitment to obtaining a relevant qualification, such as a graduate certificate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in career development, student pathways, vocational education, tertiary education, youth support or a similar field.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills for coordinating multiple programs, events and enrolment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a comprehensive whole-school career development program.
• Provide individual and group career guidance to students.
• Support students with subject selection, changes to subjects and patterns of study.
• Coordinate subject information evenings and prepare supporting information and resources.
• Liaise with external providers, employers, tertiary institutions and industry representatives to strengthen students’ career awareness.
• Coordinate Distance Education enrolments and associated assessment processes.
• Develop and maintain Senior Education and Training Plans for students.
• Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate support and follow-up measures.
