Optiver invites final-year university students with Australian working rights to join the Career Kickstarter: Trading, a five-day immersive program designed to accelerate a university-to-trading career. You’ll experience hands-on lectures, simulations, and mentorship from our education team at the Optiver Sydney office, with travel and accommodation covered if you’re outside Sydney.

Eligible students graduate in 2027 or earlier and may receive an offer for our 2028 Graduate Program.

Qualifications

• Final year students (graduating in 2027 or earlier) with Australian working rights.
• Lateral thinker with a passion for quantitative problems and collaborative environments.
• Superior logical reasoning skills.
• Experience in programming or scripting in Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in interactive lectures, trading simulations, and mentorship.

Who you are

• Final year university students (graduating in 2027 or earlier). All degree backgrounds are considered.
• An Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or able to provide evidence of full working rights.
• Lateral thinker, with a passion for quantitative problems and working in collaborative, dynamic environments.
• Holds superior logical reasoning skills.
• Experienced in programming or scripting in Python a plus.
