Job summary

The BUSY School in Gosford, NSW, is seeking an Employment Pathways Officer & Career Education Teacher to lead career education and build industry connections for young people transitioning from school to work, training or further study.

You will deliver engaging career education, create individual pathway plans, coordinate work-based opportunities and foster employer, training provider and community partnerships to support positive post-school outcomes.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification suitable for secondary education.
• Current NESA accreditation, or eligibility to obtain accreditation prior to commencement.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check clearance.
• Current NSW driver's licence.
• Experience supporting young people with diverse educational and vocational needs.
• Knowledge of career education, vocational pathways and school-to-work transitions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging career education, employability and work-readiness programs.
• Provide individual career guidance and pathway planning for students.
• Coordinate work experience, workplace learning and industry exposure opportunities.
• Support school-based apprenticeships, traineeships and vocational pathways.
• Develop strong relationships with employers, TAFE, universities, RTOs and community partners.
• Collaborate with teaching, wellbeing and leadership teams to support positive student outcomes.
• Monitor student pathway outcomes and support successful post-school transitions.
