Job summary

Yarrabilba State Secondary College is seeking an Industry and Vocational Training Officer to cultivate partnerships with local businesses, industry groups and training providers to expand apprenticeship opportunities for students.

You will coordinate work experiences, enrolments and work-readiness programs while monitoring outcomes and helping students transition into employment or further training in a rapidly growing community.

Qualifications

• Actively engage with industry and business to source School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for prospective students.

Responsibilities

• Develop engagement activities and market the benefits of School Based Traineeships, Apprenticeships and TAFE training as a career pathway for students.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
• Provide regular updates to school leadership on program outcomes and issues affecting success.
• Coordinate with the principal/deputy principal to recruit students to pathways and process enrolments.
