Job summary

The BUSY School is opening a new Hobart campus in January 2027. We are seeking an Employment Pathways Officer to establish employer partnerships, create vocational and employment pathways, and help young people transition from school into employment, apprenticeships, traineeships and further education.

You will work with students, industry and training providers to connect opportunities that build confidence and real-world experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services, vocational education, youth engagement or workforce development.
• Proven ability to build industry partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
• Track record of achieving positive employment or education outcomes.
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Current driver licence and ability to obtain screening clearances.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain employer, industry and training provider partnerships.
• Coordinate work experience, workplace learning and engagement opportunities.
• Develop pathways and transition plans for students.
• Create apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.
• Drive employment and education outcomes for graduates.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external stakeholders.
• Maintain compliant records and pathway outcome data.
