Job summary

Uniting Singleton is seeking casual aged care workers to provide care, companionship and support in our small community home in Singleton, NSW. Shifts include AM/PM and some weekends, with competitive hourly rates and salary packaging options.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent, and prior experience in aged or community care. We value compassionate, adaptable and empathetic team players who share Uniting's values.

Qualifications

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents in the aged care home.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

About Uniting Singleton Facilities

Elizabeth Gates is a welcoming aged care home in an intimate community of 35 residents and is nestled in the peaceful rural township of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region.

Alroy House has two separate households, each with between 24 and 25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

What you’ll be doing in this role

Who we’re looking for

• Ideally, you’ll have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification. If you’re not qualified and would like to be, we can help you get there.
• You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you’re studying or have recently become qualified.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
