Job summary

BaptistCare is recruiting a Care Worker to support older Australians in their own homes across Grenfell and surrounding areas. You will join the BaptistCare At Home team delivering quality complex care and practical help, from personal tasks to transport, while building meaningful connections with clients.

Applicants should have a valid Australian driver's licence, a reliable vehicle, and comfort with smartphone technology. Weekend availability and travel to Cowra and Young are required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks in clients' homes (cleaning, showering, dressing, food prep, continence support, medication assistance, transport).
• Develop genuine connections and support independence for clients.
• Use smartphone apps and email to access client care plans and rosters.

Travel for services will be required to Cowra and Young, including availability to work weekends. Please consider if this is suitable for you prior to application. Applications indicate an understanding and willingness of the travel required.

About The Role

We are seeking a Care Worker to support our clients in the Grenfell and surrounding areas, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks pertaining to household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

To Support You In Your Role

• We offer a comprehensive orientation program including buddy shifts
• You’ll have direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you
• You’ll be provided with a mobile phone to access emails, rosters and client care plans
• Access to a dedicated learning and development team to support your ongoing professional development and career pathways
• Earn $32.86/hr (unqualified) - $34.59/hr (qualified) plus superannuation per hour + paid travel time and mileage between clients

What Do We Need From You

You will have an unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients. You will be a strong communicator with resilience and patience. You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
